Depends on the town. Most everywhere you’re in a town or village of some sore, though you might not realize it.

It depends upon the size of your land (can you have a deer stand in town) and your municipality. We live on 12 acres (in a city) and a local hunter gets the signatures of adjoining property owners to allow him to hunt — both gun and bow. He keeps a deer stand here permanently. The gun season is only open for a week and he is restricted to shotgun, only.
