This guy should have been indicted. I don’t agree with the looting of course, but damn — that cop had no business being that aggressive when faced with passive aggression ... that’s what arm lock and thumb locks are for. It would have been better for him to take a billy club and knee cap one of his knees.

Well two things... Enforcement of any law may result in death.... a minority business owner called the cops on him - a black precinct cptn gave the order to arrest (he was on probation), a female black sgt was there at the time of the arrest.

Also, this cop has some history (see: Eric Garner choke-hold cop sued in prior misconduct cases...) He shouldn't have been on the force but the union protected him.

Are the police trained for dealing with the disabled? At this guy's bulk, he's an obvious candidate to have respiratory issues. He's also likely to be slow moving. I don't understand bringing him down the way they did.

The other thing that disturbs me here is the police, in large numbers, being used to enforce an unjust tax which applies disproportionately to the underclass that can't go elsewhere to purchase cigarettes. How is this any different from the misuse of government force at the Bundy ranch, a protest against government takeover of land and against outrageous fees?
