“Unsustainable” is one of those Washington D.C. words with a history of meaning little -- like Foggy Bottom’s use of “unacceptable.” But unlike unacceptable, unsustainable, when applied to the Welfare State, is a derivative of mathematics -- a major determinant of the wealth of nations.
The American Welfare State is unsustainable -- destined for significant downsizing by cold, impassionate, apolitical Arithmetic.

Democrats Unveil the Weapon of the Future "..........At the same time a campaign to recall Republicans who had voted for [Gov. Scott] Walker's budget was put into motion. (A smaller number of the Democrats who fled were also targeted.) These recall elections are still overhanging the senators.
With the bill headed for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the left next targeted an ordinary state Supreme Court election, importing hundreds of thousands of dollars in an effort to defeat incumbent David Prosser, a centrist conservative, in favor of Joanne Kloppenberg. Thanks to a comically inept local election official, it seemed at first that they had succeeded, but when the smoke cleared, Prosser had won by a healthy 7,000 votes.
And finally, we have the latest purported incident, in which we are asked to believe that Justice Prosser, in the midst of a discussion in the chambers of his liberal opposite number Ann Walsh Bradley, suddenly and apropos of nothing bounded across the room and attempted to strangle her in front of most of the other justices. The man is even worse than Clarence Thomas.
This is an extraordinary series of events, of a type that we haven't witnessed before. Even more singular is the legacy media's insistence on covering the story (with the exception of the siege of Madison, which got the standard "unions unbound" treatment) as if it were commonplace to the point of boredom. It is no such thing; it is an ideological campaign of a magnitude and breadth that we have not seen in quite some time, if ever.
What all this amounts to is the baptism of fire of what I have taken to calling the "liberal superstructure." This superstructure is the vast constellation of advocacy groups, think tanks, single-issue outfits, unions, and various other flotsam constructed by the left over the past half-century or so. There are literally thousands of these groups, ranging from the ACLU and the Sierra Club with their hundreds of thousands of members to the local "Friends of the People's Venezuela" outfit which amounts to a retired feminism professor and her six cats. These organizations are ubiquitous, universal, and networked to a fare-thee- well. They are also liberalism's last great hope of controlling politics in the United States."....
Excellent summary of what looks like the left’s make or break, all out assault on their attempt to regain their chokehold on goverment control. I think the American people are fed up with their tactics and the liberal ideology. We’re living with the results of liberalsim. Sucks, doesn’t it?
From the outset of the Zimmerman trial I have been posting in FR’s my conviction that the insertion of Obama into both the Florida ans Missouri trials was a calculated one. Divisive charges were contructed and used to build support within the black community and use blacks to divide that group from the rest of US and use their expected reaction (riots) as falling poll numbers and talk of impeachment began to build.
There are those who believe while Obama is disposed to that opinion and simply spoke “out of turn” using the earlier Patterson (?) beer meet as an example. I feel the POTUS learned his lesson and because of his position could and would get the facts before using the “Bully Pulpit” and make a calculated public utterance.
For example while I can’t categorically prove Obama knew of Zimmerman’s mixed race Peruvian black heritage. Or of the circumstaces (there was no exchange between them) prior to the sizeable black youth’s attack (known as coldcocking) and the struggle over Zimmerman’s pistol. But police reports were there and certainly available to the DOJ and the POTUS.
For the unitiated Zimmerman was reported as a “white hispaninc” who shot and killed a black youth innocently strolling down the street because he was “black”.
Yet none of that was disclosed until long after the trial and verdict was issued. Because it was politically usefull not to do so. And even today most blacks and much of the public aren’t aware of those facts. That’s because they’re so completely bound in political correctness they are afraid to make that charge and worse, others naive to the ruthessness of what socialists will do to employ their agenda.
Presently the direction by the media on these so called “racial incidents” and the subsequent utterances by the regime eagerly reported by the enemy are misdirecting US.
When we should be taking the so called political opposition led by what I call the GOPES (GOP elite statists) to task. From and shutting down funding not only for “immigration” INS as weall as other government agencies like the EPA and IRS.
