As long as stores keep putting things on high shelves, I will continue to ask a tall person to reach something for me when necessary. I'll just have to be more conscious of who I ask for help - they must be a tall Caucasian.

I'm always polite, please and thank you and wouldn't get offended if they said no, but I have found most people are very pleasant about it.
