This story is about people speeding through the tollbooths, not between the tollbooths. Nobody is using the elapsed time between the time you pass two EZPass no monitors to write tickets.
They will get round to it.
Here in the state of Washington many of us have the EZ pass to get across the bridge into Seattle. I think it works for some HOV lanes on some roads.
BUT - they HAVE been using the sensors all over to track time of vehicles within Seattle and other suburbs. To track traffic flow for planning purposes, perhaps timing of lights, etc. I doubt they could use them within town with so much traffic and lights to issue speeding tickets. But odd to think that my trip through my suburb running errands is being tracked. And if they wanted to - go over all of the security and stop light videos.
