I’ve often thought that when you’re on those toll roads, which give you a ticket with the time stamp that they would come after you if you got to the next toll “too fast”...sounds like we’re heading that way..

I remember joking about this when they first came out, and my only surprise is it’s taken this long. They can time every car, so maybe this will morph into a “pay as you go” deal, where there are no speed limits per se, just a higher toll the faster you drive.

This is why in 30+ years of driving I've never exceeded the speed limit on toll roads....indeed, pausing for a snack or PB at least once during any particular stretch...nothing keeps you straight like potentially having physical evidence of a violation in the form of a time-stamped toll ticket...never wanted to have an attendant ask me "how did you get here so quick?"

NY ThruWay (90) would issue tickets if you arrived early enough to have been doin some healthy speeding - a few minutes was no issues but something indicating 10mph+ would get you a fine at the receiveing booth.
