Glock, probably. I usually stay at Condition 3, not 4, with a Glock. Only takes a quick rack to make it Condition 4.

"Glock, probably." A Glock. My thoughts exactly.

And as usual, your perceptive powers rule the day. That is precisely how a Glock was intended to be carried. It was designed as an army pistol. Soldiers on guard, flying in a plane, etc,, typically carry loaded mag on an empty chamber, and rack the slide.
Glock designed it to the prevailing practice of the standard military truck driver or mortar crewman, not to Delta force.

Glock, probably. I usually stay at Condition 3, not 4, with a Glock. Only takes a quick rack to make it Condition 4. You mean Condition 0, not 4.
Pistol conditions:
Condition 4: Chamber empty, empty magazine, hammer down.
Condition 3: Chamber empty, full magazine in place, hammer down.
Condition 2: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer down.
Condition 1: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer cocked, safety on.
Condition 0: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer cocked, safety off.
Since a clock has no external safety, chambering a round brings it from condition 3 to 0.

A Kahr PM45 has no safety. Intended for CC quick reaction.
One shot from a .45 and you are usually toast.

If a weapon is not SA/DA with de-cock, I never leave a round in the chamber.
Unless I go off half-cocked:)
I think the worry over a half-cocked /45 is overblown. It's quicker for me than "safe" and I'm not prone to dropping it.

Assuming you always have the use of both hands. Better option: Check out a Saf-T-Blok for Glocks and ignore the ‘Boy Scout’ on You Tube or find and view his ultimate commentary.

I find I can rack the Glock in about same amount of time as it takes to unlock the safety on the Mack. Plus sound effects can sometimes be a deterrent.

There is only one gun safety. It's between the ears of the owner.
