I had people try to get me to sell the socks I knit but I would barely get pennies per hour for the time invested. They had no idea. I did consider buying a knitting machine to make and sell larger items but it would have taken the fun out of the hobby (for me).
I crochet as a hobby-you are right, there is no way to make money from anything like that because of the time factor.
My cats go nuts every time it is going to rain-right now, they are chasing each other, batting and carrying fur mice from the kitchen to the living room, etc.
