Maybe, dunno, just posting what I read on this.

I do know this, if you draw “the Prophet”, it’s punishable by death.

What ever the words mean, they are still pissing off moose limbs a lot.

I don’t really know what to make of it personally.

He is also holding a sign that says Je suis Charlie, so that is not going to make any of them happy at all.

To me, the sign being held and the title do not add up to what you are saying.

Maybe they do, maybe I am misreading it, All is forgiven, I am Charlie seems like Muhammed sucking up to Charlie.

What in the world are you talking about? The desire to be forgiven has to be expressed by the transgressors, not by some cartoon character.

The artist's interpretation is that Charlie forgives the murderers.

I thought it was the French trying to say that Mohammed wouldn’t have liked this (which is not true, because brutal violence was what Mohammed was all about) and was regretting their actions. In my opinion, they were saying that Mohammed wouldn’t have wanted their staff killed...which is absolutely untrue.

If the magazine had really intended to resume its stance, you would have seen Mohammed on a blood-drenched cover.

It is the principle which is being illustrated. It is up to people to accept or refuse the principle.

Wrong.

You can't forgive someone who believes he has done nothing wrong.

Indeed, why does a small paper of what 8 people left, have to bear the all the hate for freedom of speech? Why don't those who always scream the 1st amendment when they are revealing our “torture” policy champion it now?

It’s certainly a cover that is open to interpretation I’d say.

It’s not a cut and dry it definitely means X IMO.

What I get from it is Mohammed saying Tout est pardonne - all is forgiven. What does Mohammed have to forgive in this instance? The cartoons of him by Charlie Hebdo. According to Muslims, those cartoons are punishable by death, so that would be a big pardon on his part, and one that is not likely to occur.

Secondly he is holding a Je suis Charlie sign which identifies him with them.

From the wiki of “Je suis Charlie” - France. It identifies a speaker or supporter with those who were killed at the Charlie Hebdo shooting, and by extension, a supporter of freedom of speech and resistance to armed threats. Some journalists embraced the expression as a rallying cry for the freedom of self-expression.[1]

Him holding that sign seems like it would be a clear offense to Islam in my opinion. A slap in the face really.

Lastly I see a tear coming from his eye which would indicate sadness at the deaths of infidels which also would be an insult to Islam as I see it.

Honestly I do not think it is the paper ah surrendering or giving in at all, it’s not the paper saying all is forgiven to Mohammed, it’s Mohammed saying all is forgiven to the paper.

And I know for a fact that in the minds of Muslims, all is not forgiven in this matter.

I don’t know, but I have to give Bill Maher, a man I do not like at all, credit on this for standing up.

I really do not see any other leftists taking his stance, and for that I think they are all cowards shaking in their flip flops in the face of Islam.

None of this country’s leaders have impressed me on this matter.

I am not going to fear those who would take my freedom and take my life.

I will make them fear me.

I am not going to go out on my knees begging for mercy from one who knows only malice.

It is time to stand.

You vastly misunderstand and style me wrong rather than admit your bad thinking.

The forgiveness is offered. It is to be accepted or rejected.
