It’s not a “white people” thing...it’s a “clean people” thing.
Apparently Naya’s culture belongs in a Petri dish. It’s a “clean people” thing! Just ewwwww...
My nose is so sensitive I can tell from a distance things I do not want to share at breakfast. What you drank, what you smoked...one of the WORST is when you bled or bleed. People who don’t bath Are anathema to my sense of smell.
I have to imagine this is pretty common for men to pick up on this stuff, yes? It’s only recently it’s become more of a tool as much as a curse.
You win the thread.
“Whore’s bath”
LOL. Years ago, I was late to the first day of a business ethics course. Taught by a British nun. Had to sit right next to her.
Was never late again.
Check out the “Chapelle Show” skit on “Trading Spouses”; as the black husband living with the white wife, he warns blacks about showering in white peoples’ homes. They don’t use washcloths, so the soap ends up with “hair” on it...
I miss that show, especially the “Ask a black guy” segments where whites would ask (and receive answers) for common questions they wouldn’t otherwise ask.
That’s how Elvis did it. It was called a “Whore’s Bath” back in the day.
There’s nothing emptier in the universe than the head of a hollyweird.
It’s a proven fact. Even in the vacuum of space there is a perpetual dance of virtual particles emerging and disappearing.
But in the head of a hollyweird, there is true blankness. True nothingness.
Showering is racist, sexist, and homophobic? NO ODOR, NO PEACE!!!!
Well that’s interesting. As some Freepers are known to post....I’ll be in the shower...let me know of any new developments.
How often does this twit actually shower? Don’t be downwind from this one.
“I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing.”
I didn’t get that impression while I was stationed in Germany during the 70s. White folks all around, and it was pretty stinky in tight quarters, like public transportation and restaurants. And the people of all colors that I know in the US for the most part shower daily.
Since we’re going on “feelings” here; I feel like showering every day is such an American thing.
When my mother and I visited London, she mentioned the weather to a shopkeeper, who replied, “Yes, I love a cool day ... keeps the ‘social smells’ tolerable!”
That was inspired.
May you always have a Zest for life and live in a continual Irish Spring.
On a similar note, I've found this cartoon useful.
So, whether I agree or disagree, I’m racist, right?
For reasons I now don't recall, my 16-year-old daughter and I were discussing Jimi Hendrix recently. I observed that I did not know whether or not Jimi Hendrix was racist, and she said, "He wasn't: he was black."
*sigh*
The stupid burns in this case.
What people like this don’t realize is, the “joke” is on them. Sayings like “it’s a white thing to work hard” or “it’s a white thing to get good grades in school” or “it’s a white thing to speak proper English” all, by implication mean the opposite is true for black people.
In other words, “it’s a black thing” to fail in school, be lazy at a job, and speak almost unintelligibly.
In this woman’s case, by implication, “it’s a black thing” to have body odor? To be unhygienic?
Haha ok honey, whatever. You really put one over on us white folk, whew!
I can hear the retort to what I wrote above: it’s a black thing, you don’t understand.
Which is saying, “It’s a black thing to say stuff without thinking about the implications.”
Yeah, real noble trait there. And who’s the racist again?
On the other hand, taking a shower three times a day is a, “Somebody else is paying the water bill” thing.
