They do if they are close to the places that play loud rap music and sell sneakers. This weekend’s incident happened at Macy’s.
These hooligans aren’t at the mall to shop & spend money. They’re there to “hang out”, and by that I mean shoplift, congregate, and deal drugs. Ross Park Mall has some of the highest-end stores in Pittsburgh (Nordstrom’s, Tiffany’s, Louis Vitton, etc) and it’s still loaded up with inner city garabge as well. I remember when I moved to the ‘burgh in 2002 Ross Park was a very nice area, and Monroeville wasn’t nearly as “dark” and trashy as it is now.
