Someone posted something about this movie on Imgur the other day. I’ll have to check it out. Is it on NetFlix?

The 13th Floor Elevators were a cool band. So were the Moving Sidewalks.

There is no 13th floor. I can’t find it. What happened?

Known in my group as one of the two “fake reality” movies that came out around The Matrix that were vastly superior and largely forgotten. The other is Dark City which I think is the best of 3.

I saw this a couple of times years ago.
Very good movie. I wondered why it didn't get more attention.

The 13th Floor was very cool.

I remember seeing this film in a theater with a friend. About halfway through I figured out what was going on and told him and he was amazed.
If you like this film you might also like "Dark City" by Alex Proyas who also directed "The Crow."

And then there is the German movie, "World on a Wire," made in the 1970s, dealing with the same theme, way, way ahead of its time.

To me the best was “Forbidden Planet” ... when that “thing” hit the fence I peed my pants ... of course I was only six at the time ... at home fortunately. Had nightmares for weeks after that ....

The first time I watched this movie I had a few drinks first. Wife was asleep and I had head phones on for the sound.
The last line of the movie is a whisper in one ear like “Doug there are many more worlds than these.”
And...My name is Doug. It flipped me out a little bit in my cocktail haze.

I am a big fan of this underrated flick. Its was forgotten about because of the monster "The Matrix".
13th Floor wasnt a perfect movie, kinda cheesy, but very entertaining and everyone I know who had seen the movie had the same opinion.
