Formerly the "Quinn and Rose Morning Show" thread, our friendly group continues to meet to start the day as we await the return of our favorite morning talk show - possibly sometime this month! So if you are preparing to go to work, are getting home from work - or happily retired - stop in and say mornin' and share the latest news, discuss the weather, share a recipe, or whatever!

For the second time in two weeks the 970 foot Great Lakes freighter Arthur M Anderson is stuck in ice. Last week it was trapped on Erie near Cleveland. Now it’s just west of the Mackinac bridge on Michigan.
Global warming....RIGHT!

But I could be wrong. Either way, it’s true!!!
Ha! What are the chances? TWICE in a two week period? No other ships having problems?
There are others including ice breakers. The crew of the Anderson is feeling cursed though.
Oh it would be great if Quinn was back in the mornings. Just doesn’t seem like a good fit with Salem.
Salem once reprimanded a friend of mine because I sent her an ecard with a webcam picture of two couples on Boubon Street after Mardi Gras. They were in tuxedos and evening gowns and lifting champaign glasses in a toast. The rest of the street was littered but deserted.
They told her employees shouln’t associate with people who drink or take part in things like Mardi Gras or New Year’s Eve.
The kicker is she wss also a stand up comic and performed at lots of clubs.

OK, I’m stepping into the religious subjects here - which I should not do! BUT....
Jesus, himself, imbibed a bit. You know-that wedding feast at Cana, and the whole “Last Supper” thing and all! He turned water into wine - not kool-aid!

I like Glenn Meakem as well! I download his podcasts to listen to at work sometime.
I really, really, really miss Q&R though!!! I am checking the warroom and his twitter page every day, for anything new. I wonder if they’ll be on Sirius or XM radio. Mr S is talking about buying one. Do you listen to 1160 here in Indiana? On the morning show, they are stuck in the early 70’s!!! Indiana is a town trapped in time! Of course, they do have Kilmeade and Friends later in the morning. I really like Brian Kilmeade, but can’t listen at work on the computer.
I miss radio from the 70’s. Though I don’t live close enough to Indiana to pick-up that station.
Yes they are..not a 70’s fan I am going to try and listen..Didn’t sleep well..feel hungover without drinking!!

Though it is unlikely, I do sort of hope he and Rose are headed for the new Salem 1250.
Salem’s national morning host, Bill Bennett, runs THE MOST BORING MORNING SHOW in the history of radio.

It could happen, Salem carries Dennis Miller on a lot of their stations. (He’ll jest “calm down Salem listeners” anytime he strays into any blue territory)
