Absolutely right. Without Garcia, it's not the Dead. It would be like the three remaining Doors members (Krieger, Manzerak and Densmore) getting togeather and calling it a Doors concert.

I saw that Doors show a few years back. Paid $20 at the NORVA. Was actually a really good show. They call themselves Riders on the Storm and play small venues at low cost. Seriously worth going if they are in town.

They did. Toured with Ian Astbury of the Cult. At least Krieger and Manzarek, did. Think Densmore did for a while, then split and sued the other two for using the word “Doors” in their name.
