This was a great episode. Carol the cookie monster and gay darryl. They are all returning to what they were before in some way but with sister twists. And rick reaching behind his back and touching his gun when the woman he likes and her husband walks by. Would he have really popped her husband? Mki think the final shot of him against the wall opposite the walker tells us exactly whaere he is mentally and it is not a pretty place.

I think after last week’s slow paced but very interesting “set up” episode that all hell is going to bust loose this week. I think we’ll find out who the “W” people are. For someone who doesn’t watch much television other than Duck Dynasty reruns and NFL football I cannot get enough of this show. It’s the first show in at least 25 years I fatihfully watch every single week. I have to laugh at those who think it’s “just a zombie show”.

Me too. I never knew about this show till I saw it on Netflix and watched like every episode in a week LOL! Now I can’t wait for the latest one. I think all hell is going to break loose as well. That fight that Glenn had with that guy is a setup for something bad to come, and that woman who runs the place I think is a Hillary type who is going to go Arkancide on their butts when she finds they took the guns. That kid who caught Carol taking the guns is going to say something and Hillary is going to go into full meltdown mode and try to lock them up or something. I mean come on, they totally patterned her after Hitlery Clinton which means she’s psychotic. I don’t know why she insisted she videotape everyone though when they first got there.

"that woman who runs the place I think is a Hillary type who is going to go Arkancide on their butts when she finds they took the guns."

I hadn't made that connection but it makes sense. I recall last week during the cocktail party when "Hillary's" husband offers Rick a drink, Rick declilned saying "I'm good". The husband responded "You don't have to be". I've noticed on this show that seemingly inconsequential comments like this often foreshadow major events or twists of character of the ones who make them. This depth of writing is one of the reasons I like the show so much.

Yes I noticed that too, they put these little hints in. Like when Rick was walking at night and that guy was sitting on the porch in the dark and he was kind of nasty towards Rick, I forget his name. I think he was the husband of the woman Rick kissed at the party. Something definitely is going to happen between Rick and that guy. What I find interesting as well is Daryl refuses to come out of “survivor mode” he won’t even take a shower LOL! It’s like he knows they’re going to get screwed over. I just hope it doesn’t turn into another “Governor” deal. That was boring as hell although the last episode was nuts! The freakin guy beheads Hershel! I couldn’t believe that!

I'm glad for this plot development. The last episode was excellent with so much intrigue.

As for hints in the narrative, Rick's statement that 'we will take over' if necessary was foreboding.

Might there be ominous events leading to this seasons finale ?

Wow I forgot about that, when he said we will take over. Maybe this season they are making Rick and the gang the villains.

Sometimes little things foreshadow other things in this show, and sometimes not. Carol stealing the extra bar of chocolate has me a little worried.

We know there’s a whiteboard to keep track of supplies. I could see Olivia finding the chocolate missing and maybe questioning the kids to see if one of them took it. The boy who followed Carol gives her up, and her cover is blown.

It’s the first show in at least 25 years I faithfully watch every single week.

Bump. There have been other intriguing shows from time to time, but the storyline always seems to "jump the shark". This is the first time that the engagement continues.

My feelings and thoughts, exactly.

BTW, on a WD blog they said Deanna was patterning herself after Hillary Clinton, who she admires.

It’s easy to spot the fact that Deanna is a Progressive/socialist trying to keep her little Utopia intact.

"but the storyline always seems to "jump the shark"."

You are right.

This show seems different for example there were no big name actors to start but relative unknowns.

This show didn't get popular until about the third year.

Finally on most shows one of the leads gets self important and demands money or more screen time but here they will kill your part off and go on....HA

I missed the “you don’t have to be” comment.
Great catch.
Makes things interesting.
Thanks.

Nope, the group is not Villians. They are surviors. They lived it and know how to do it. The group is the wolves and the ‘new town’ is nothing more that the poor oposum waiting to get an arrow.

It’s like: those that can, DO.
Those that can’t DO preach.
Those that can’t DO or preach, become GOV paid workers that suck the life out of a great nation.

Daryl is like a wild animal. Always keen on life and death. Always looking for a place to hide, cover, survive.

Oddly though, Daryl is very compasionate, giving, and caring of others. The shows history proves this. Do you remeber the episode when Daryl give Carol the yellow rose?
