A piece of paperwork turns up that indicates Sen. Tom Cotton was on hand when the Club for Growth hosted potential presidential candidates in Palm Beach, Fla., at the end of February.

Is this Norquist’s group?
No fricking way. The man just got elected to the Senate!
I’ve seen too many great conservative hopes come and go to get too excited about anyone till they show their metal for 4 or 5 years at least.
The man already served in the military, the House of Representatives, and went to Harvard.
He’s not a rookie.
Couldn’t tell you.
I tried to figure that out with a couple of searches using ‘and’ but didn’t have any luck. Maybe someone knows.
Sorry.
Cruz/Cotton 2016! Wait, is cotton racist?
He’s also newly married, and they’re expecting, as I understand it.
It’s like we’ve already chosen our candidates...
The race isn’t even started yet.
No, Club for Growth is NOT Norquist’s group. He’s with this group....

TY!
No probs. See post #10.
Thanks.
I tell you, it’s tough to get FReepers enthused about someone who isn’t “officially” a candidate to consider.
Cotton could run for President in 2016. He has been in the House of Representatives, and now is in the Senate. He graduated Harvard with honors (of some sort). He served in the military, and I think he deserves a real shot.
I do not know his position on some issues, such as national trade. I (hope) he intends to pay for our military, by bringing back American jobs.
As do many. Many others are completely sold out. That issue is extremely divisive now.
But I consider him a real candidate, sort of. Palin is not acting like a real candidate right now, so I’m looking at options and Cotton seems to me, to be a very good one.
I hope we can discuss the guy a bit today, and in the future.
In my opinion, he’s the real thing.
I need to find out more about him. :)
I believe Cotton was very good on immigration in the House, with a very good rating from NumbersUSA. I haven’t checked him out on spending issues.
He took a risk and voted against the farm bill.
He undermined Boehner, Cantor and Paul Ryan’s young guns amnesty agenda.
Forget it. The guy still has peach fuzz on his chin. Probably has a PlayStation in his office. Needs more time in the Senate.
