They don't mention USA but I suspect it will come here also. Let the cheap gas roll!

Have you driven any of the smaller, cheaper, Mercedes? I have, and IMO they are cannibalizing their brand..people who spend $100K for a car don’t want to see the 3 pointed star on a commuter car..

Honda’s new Ridgeline will be out - as a 2017 model - in about a year.

It will be far superior the Mercedes in snow and cost thousands less in maintenance.

Having grown up with lots of European metal in our garage I would not have a Mercedes at this time.

Customer satisfaction is high, but quality is very low.

As far as I know, the 25% tax on imported pickup trucks is still in effect. Hard to be price competitive unless they’re built in USA.

Doubtful. If this truck isn't intended for US markets, that means it won't be designed to meet US safety and emissions standards. They'd basically have to build two separate trucks; one for the US and one for the rest of the world.

If Mercedes-Benz is smart (pun not intended here!), they should seriously look at collaborating with Nissan (Nissan-Renault and M-B have been collaborating on a number of projects lately) on building an even smaller pickup about the size of the old Japanese pickups from the 1970’s and 1980’s, but powered by Mercedes-Benz’s own 2.1-liter 201 bhp turbodiesel engine and eight-speed automatic. That small pickup would be a surprising hot seller not only in the USA, but in many countries around the world.
