He was looking for a confrontation. He explained in his original, long ago deleted, you tube post. He was responding to this video asking people to go to Chic-Fil-A on 8/1/12 and ask for a large water and nothing else. It was supposed to "take a few cents away from their hate fund".

Well, Mike Huckabee's Chic-Fil-A appreciation day was more successful than anyone imagined. This Adam Smith guy was the villain of the day. His video went viral, he thought he was taking a positive stand, the rest of the world disagreed.

I do for his kids. A lot of kids suffer for their parent's foibles.
I will reserve judgement on his wife. She could be a simple victim. OTOH, of most of the hard left lib couples I know personally, the spouse's attitudes are usually pretty much in line with the other. One has to consider the possibility she was cheering him on until the crap storm landed on him. The ones I know would be doing so.
I'm not going to "convict" her with no info, but I'm not going to exonerate her either. She's married to an oxygen wasting jerk. It is what it is.
