The Redskins nickname has been the forgotten NFL controversy of the past several months. With concussions and domestic violence dominating the off-field headlines, the nickname debate circling around the Washington NFL franchise has moved to the backburner recently.
However, some interesting developments from The Associated Press could move it back front and center. The organization is considering whether to make a ruling against the polarizing nickname when it comes to the influential AP Stylebook.

Re examining use of the Associated Press name - they got the first three letters right
Not to mention all the uproar over homophobic bigotry in the evil Midwest.
Next, look for the associated press to start using the term “the Zionist entity” instead of “Israel” and “the great Satan” instead of “the United States”.
They have turned into “the Associated Idiots”.
Because of this PC mass hysteria, I have come to admire those folks who resist the pressure from these people to change or apologize and instead justify and defend their own differing opinions and philosophies. It is good to be different and unique. It is bad to be just one of the robotic crowd who resemble a whole singular mind-set and mentally deranged group who thinks everyone ought to think and do everything the exact same way.
A current example of this is the overwhelming criticism and backlash of the new religious freedom law passed in Indiana. It's like everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon of criticizing a law that has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with gay and lesbian discrimination but is being used as a red herring and vehicle for furthering the gay mafia agenda. If you're not with this super-minority clic, you are not with the "in crowd". How ridiculous for intelligent people to act. I mean, even the governor of Connecticut criticized the new las in Indiana and banned all state travel to the state, until, oopsie, he was told his own state had the same law on the books. Classic example of the lemming behavior of progressive liberal idiots.
And so, to this end, I greatly admire the owner of the Washington Redskins for sticking to his guns and keeping the Redskins name for his team and basically telling his critics to f*ck-off. There is nothing better in my mind, than people who stick to their guns under relentless pressure and public scorn. If he buckles to the pressure from the PC left, and drops or changes the name, I will be greatly disappointed. And I say this without being a fan of professional football in general or the team in specific.
But in keeping with my sense of humor, I submit this graphic as a possible alternative logo for the team to keep their name while appeasing the opposition. :-)
If a poll was taken of all ‘real’ American Indians, how many would be objecting to the teams that use the term Redskins?
It would be a very small percentage. Only liberal activists and/or people trying to make some money off of some controversy are pushing this name change.
Same type of people pushing the LGBT agenda. Another minority group.
