Facts are facts.

"Treason" is still "treason" (despite how Obama's Press Secretary Josh Earnest spins it)

"Abject Defeat" is still "Abject Defeat" (despite how America's tax-exempt Christian Pastors in their beautiful Mega-Churches spin it)

"Bribery" is still "Bribery" (despite how Al Sharpton and MSNBC spin it)

==========================================

America's "Gay Gestapo" have virtually won the battle for America's spiritual soul.

Except for a few scattered political leaders, America's Gay Gestapo is a political Juggernaunt that marches from Victory to Victory.

Yes, these are occasional "minor moral victories" (Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson and the $ 825,000 donations to the Memories Pizza in Indiana).

But ... these "minor moral victories" DO NOT CARRY ANY LEGAL WEIGHT.

Christian Bakers and Florists STILL ARE FINED and GO TO JAIL when they courageously DEFY the Gay Gestapo.

American Christians MUST ASK THEMSELVES ... ASK THE LORD ... what is the problem ?

Church IRS 501-Ce tax-exempt status.
Church IRS 501-Ce tax-exempt status.
Church IRS 501-Ce tax-exempt status.

Period.

==========================================

May I present an analogy (a parable) to what the "truth" is.

You are a STAR athlete who's a member of the New York Rednecks baseball team.

You had to APPLY for your position with the New York Rednecks. You sought after them because the New York Rednecks had sometime YOU wanted DESPERATELY:

MONEY, "Beyond the Dreams of Avarice" (Hans Solo, Star Wars).

Millions and millions of dollars, but ONLY if You agreed to VOLUNTARILY sign for the New York Rednecks.

The Rednecks said "yes" to your "voluntary" request to join the team.

Condition-1 : Be a useful TOOL to help the New York Rednecks win the World Series.

Condition-2 : NEVER, NEVER criticize the New York Rednecks, their coach, their owner, their sponsors, their players. EVER.

Violating either of these "contractual conditions" would result in Your FINANCIAL PAYMENTS being canceled.

Maelstorm (nothing personal here) ...

YOU wanted that MONEY so BADLY (to buy bibles for Christian missionaries in China), that you ...

VOLUNTARILY signed the CONTRACT with the New York Rednecks.

Years go by, and SUDDENLY you discover that the New York Rednecks are doing VERY BAD THINGS.

Your Christian conscience COMPELLS you to speak out.

However, your attorney warns you that IF you speak-out about these evils, you are violating Condition-2 of your VOLUNTARY "employment contract" with the New York Rednecks baseball team.

Sadly, you decide NOT to criticize the New York Rednecks ...

because you DESPERATELY NEED that MONEY to buy bibles for the Christian Missionaries in China.

Now ... in the midst of your conflicted decision, Jesus Christ shows up for a chat.

Jesus Christ advises "Just Do the Right Thing, don't worry about the Money."

Jesus Christ promises to handle everything (financially), and you'll be "right as rain".

But like all of us (including that Patton@Bastogne guy at Free Republic) ...

you SECRETLY DOUBT that Jesus Christ can make the deal work.

So ... in the end ... you KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT about the evil New York Rednecks ...

and continue spending your ten-million salary on buying bibles for the Christian missionaries in China.

==========================================

Christian Pastor ... that's EXACTLY where America's tax-exempt Christian churches are today in 2014.

Christian Pastor ... church tax-exempt status is a "Federal Contract" ... all VOLUNTARY

Christian Pastor ... church tax-exempt status puts your church on the FEDERAL PAYROLL ... vis-a-via "income tax deductions (gifts) for your congregation"

Christian Pastor ... the "contract" DEMANDS that your church NOT ENDORSE CANDIDATES for public office (i.e. criticize Uncle Sam)

Christian Pastor ... the "contract" DEMANDS that your church NOT ATTEMPT TO INFLUENCE LEGISLATION (i.e. change Uncle Sam's evil ways)

Christian Pastor ... if your church VIOLATES EITHER of THESE TWO RULES ...

then the "Federal Contract" you FREELY WANTED says that Uncle Sam can "properly" sue you in Court ... and Win.

==========================================

Christian Pastor ... IRS 501-C3 is a "Covenant" just as binding and legal as the "Covenant" THE LORD made with Abraham.

So ... what does Christ's American Christian Church do in 2014 ?

KEEP Uncle Sam's MONEY ... and Shut-The-Heck-Up about Uncle Sam's evil ways ...

or "SPEAK GOD'S TRUTH without RESERVATION" ...

and TRUST Jesus Christ for the money needed to buy all those bibles for the Christian missionaries to China ?

You call them the Gay Gestapo, I call them Nazi Homosexuals since they apparently dont like the homosexual word and they are every bit Nazis. Dont think for a second they would not exterminate Christians if they had the chance.

You're certainly correct ...

But should we be content to live in a (formerly) Christian America under the Stalinesque booted thugs of the Gay Gestapo

(which one poster accurately charges them on wishing the "extermination" of Christians) ...

I CHALLENGE Christians "demand" PASTORS to FREELY preach the GOD's TRUTH again, without compromise and reservation.

For most churches, federal taxes aren’t the real reason for being tax-free since the profits are extremely low. The real problem is property taxes.

There are few people, especially those under fifty, who would believe the sermons I used to hear in the Christian Church I grew up attending. Our denomination wasn’t even one of those known for “catching the spirit” and such. But our preacher exhorted, shouted and, at times, actually pointed fingers at congregation members he felt were wandering from the fold. Many is the time that I saw a tearful, trembling, obviously repentant soul kneel at the altar and confess. Nowadays, just about any sin that can be named has been labeled a “mental condition” or a “disease” and the enabling mental health profession gives it a pass as something that the person can’t help. And that’s just how we arrived at this scourge of homosexuality.

Sin is, indeed, a disease but it’s one of the soul and no mortal man can cure it. Even Jesus Christ is being used as an excuse for all sorts of depravity, under the pretense that he wouldn’t have condemned anyone. There’s no mention of the fact that, in order to avail oneself of His gift to us, we must repent and be baptized and do our best to overcome our sinful nature to the best of our ability. Gays are doing just the opposite and reveling in their depravity, demanding that Christianity condone and bless their activity. Not only are churches going to lose but every Christian who doesn’t bow to this assault will lose at the hands of a government that hates their beliefs.

We have nothing to do but refuse. To lose materially is nothing compared to what we will lose if we comply. That’s why Christians have had to suffer for thousands of years. American Christians don’t have exempt status from the demand for obedience to The Almighty and no other. Otherwise no Christian would have ever had to die. They could have just said “the government made me do it” or the Muslims, etc.

As in the days of Noah, there won’t be very many Christians who realize that the excuses being created by the majority won’t save their souls. We are not to be judges; only the Most High can do that. However we are constrained to warn, to reprove and to preach what is written in The Word. Otherwise, we become partakers. It’s hard to accept, especially for us spoiled Americans, but our time of persecution has come and it will most likely be much worse than we would like to imagine. We should spend more time encouraging and supporting one another to keep the faith. Our eternal lives depend on it.

I too never refer to them as gay, they are homosexuals and our side should be calling them what they are instead of using their words.

So the post asserts that churches are at the whim of a federal judge to be forced to perform gay marriages and pay for 0bamacare abortions because of their tax-exemptions.

I understand that part of the post.

What I don’t understand is how a church could later refuse to perform gay marriages or refuse to pay for 0bamacare abortions if they gave up their tax exemptions. Why would that stop a federal “black-robed-bandit” from penalizing a church for refusing to perform a gay marriage or whatever?

How would it be any different? I don’t think the Gaystapo or the Fed gives a rat’s patoot about a church’s tax exempt status — a federally protected politically correct group can’t be discriminated against regardless. The only group who can legally be discriminated against nowadays are white christians.

As a teenager I collected money with a friend from game and other machines for the mob ( who also blackmailed those who had power or money) Sometimes and I am not proud of it we used baseball bats on them.

I was a minor and it was in the 60's.

Thanks for posting this.

“The “Gaystapo” VICTORY unless American Churches DIVORCE Church IRS 501-C3 Tax-Exempt Status.”

That headline caught MY eye too. I recall having this discussion with my pastor a few years ago - about why we maintained 501-C3 status if it muzzled him, and the rest of his parishoners, from speaking out on “political issues.” He’d tell me before I got up to speak in the spirit “it’s not political is it?”

“It” is SUPPOSED to be. Our first American Revolutionary War was staged in our churches. Many were burned out by King George’s troops for it. Our pastors then spoke out, many were arrested for treason.
Now they allow themselves to be enslaved to Caesar, not just render unto him.

I think, and I talked to some coworkers about this yesterday, I’m done with “corporate” worship. Especially if it’s state-controlled by the “tax-exempt” process.

Next thing you know, the state will be forcing churches to provide birth control, abortion, same-sex union benefits, all the rest... they are already?

Well then.

Churches are actually entitled to tax exempt status under the First Amendment, not Section 501(c)(3). By including it within this category, everyone now believes that is where the right comes from, but the Internal Revenue Code was actually recognizing a prior constitutional right. That is why churches automatically get tax exempt status instead of having to apply for it like other organizations.

Unfortunately, the federal government now acts like churches’ constitutional tax-exwmpt right is now simply a gift from the federal government that can be taken away, and churches are too scared or timid to take the feds on.

While being exempt from income and property taxes certainly is a nice perq of being a church, the real draw of being a 501(c)(3) organization is that your donors may deduct their contributions on their tax returns. Your largest donors, therefore, will receive the largest savings from this benefit. Will your same supporters contribute just as much if their contributions are not tax deductible? Certainly something to consider.

I gave that some thought when I wrote my post. But, when I give to my church, I never think of the tax benefits. To be honest, my house is almost paid off and I haven’t been able to itemize in 5 years so my contributions to the church never get deducted from my taxes.

501c status is a government establishment of religion.

Which of course the First Amendment expressly forbids.

When a mosque or atheistic/humanistic organization is given 501c status, they are being established as officially-recognized religions in the United States.

Note to Christians: When you accept official recognition and benefits from government for your church, you are ultimately accepting government control over your church.
