King was never a great guitarist, but he had a big character that filled the stage. In many ways, he was the James Brown of Blues. 20 years ago, he could hold his own with his style, five years ago, he was on stage for people to honor for his past work.

B.B. King got me interested in blues and because of that, I have been able to see so many of that generation of blues musicians before they passed.

I really hope he is getting good care from people who love him. He deserves nothing less.

My baby came to me this morning.
She said, “I’m kind of confused”.
She said “If me and B.B. King were both drowning,
which one would you choose?”

I said “Whoa, baby”,
I said “Whoa, baby”,
I said “Whoa, baby”,
“Babe I Ain’t Never Heard You Play No Blues“

"King was never a great guitarist"

I beg to differ. He has more taste in his little finger than most guitarists who showcase their chops.

An artist. Everything he does fits.
