Kirk was such a natural, one of my all-time favorites. And he really is a tough guy. Pushing 100 today.

I think this is the movie referred to in Douglas’ autobiography. The producers thought Kirk was too skinny to be taken seriously as a boxer, so he removed his shirt. He had been a college wrestler and wasn’t really thin. He was chiseled.
