Blues legend B.B. King is battling health problems, with a message on his website saying the 89-year-old musician is in "home hospice care."
King was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital Thursday afternoon, CNN affiliate KLAS reported, because his daughter, Patty King, said he wasn't eating and was dehydrated.
Tests showed King may have had a minor heart attack, she told KLAS. He was released and went home.

There is a story Stevie Ray Vaughan’s band guys tell. He was scheduled to play I think Red Rocks. When he, Stevie, arrived he saw he was first billing Bb King second. Stevie they say was mortified
Told his promoters don’t ever put me before BB King
Twice I saw BB King perform live... around 20-25 years ago. BB King and every performer on stage with him were great. A relative who’s a musician talked with Mr. King backstage once, and he said Mr. King is a real nice guy, too.
(I also loved SRV, but never saw him live.)
Sad to hear this about one of the greats. Saw B.B. King several times, the last being only a couple years ago.
I did get to see SRV and he was a force of nature on stage. Sad that he went far too soon.
The Thrill is (almost) gone...
I remember Rush Limbaugh mentioning him several years ago. He may have called the show. He is a Rush fan.
I worked promoting concerts at Ole Miss in 70s
We had BB play the chapel for a weeknight
He recorded it for an album
An intimate place it sold out
A real class gentleman.....very happy to be in his home state sharing his music with mostly a bunch of white kids
Jim Dickinson and Bobby Whitlock and Coon Elder all showed up and joined in
He basically did a meet and greet with everyone there.....now that is rare trust Me
I think all he insisted on was cold Coke in bottle and a fan....it’s an antebellum hall
My dad years later flew him around the state in dads Duke to shows BB did for a gubernatorial candidate who was a law partner of dads best buddy in Jackson
My dad spent two days with BB and found him a remarkable down to earth man....old school delta
Indianola is gonna lose another great King.....Albert....my favorite went first
Our delta bluesmen in my home state might be our greatest legacy....they can sure compete with E and old Bedford
Do you know the name of the record?
From http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2012/02/24/greenberg_warns_the_big_lie_isn_t_working:
The next night, [Moochelle] has a big blues bash with The Wrinkled One, Mick Jagger. He needs to iron his face, like Ann what's-her-face. Ma Richards. I always thought, "Just iron your face." Mick Jagger, the same thing. The Obamas had B.B. King at dinner. Did you know this? I love B.B. King. One of my all-time favorite tunes, my all-time top-ten favorite, he sang it. B.B. King is in a wheelchair. He's diabetic. He's 80-some-odd years old, Snerdley, and he can still belt it out! And you know he sang The Thrill is Gone to Obama and Moochelle! He actually sang it. That was part of his repertoire: The Thrill is Gone. I know we got it in our Prophet System. You dont have to find it right now, Mike, but get it up. We'll have it ready here and the song up in mere moments.
...BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: (music) There you go, folks. B.B. King. Think it's 1970, 1971. The title of the tune is The Thrill is Gone, and he performed it live in front of Obama and Moochelle this week. (song continues) Can you imagine Obama sitting there listening to this and probably not getting it? Ha-ha-ha-ha.
He may have called the show. He is a Rush fan.
You may be thinking of Clarence Henry.
You're thinking of Brian Williams.
This is sacred ground.
Godspeed, BB. RIP SRV. Much love.
All good things come to an end.
Also, saw him play with Buddy Rich. Whew, what a day that was!
It was my 77/78 term
I think they shelved it a few years
BB was unhappy with the end result so I heard
RIP

I saw B.B. in concert here in South Florida right about on his 70th birthday. Aaron Neville was also there. Great show. RIP B.B.
Delbert McClinton too.
Tks for heads up
The last of the latter era Delta bluesmen are now gone....
