So here’s a news flash to Mary Elizabeth: society IS crumbling and has been for a while now.
And some friendly advice: take a trip out of town. Find out how normal people live in the parts of the country NOT "composed entirely of people who either are LGBT or who know someone who is.” So called LGBT comprises no more than 2 to 3 percent of the population.
LGBT are, like it or not abnormal - deviant - if you will. They have no moral or legal claim over the rest of us. It’s time they were removed from their present glorified position. Then maybe we can start cementing society back together.

Sodomy is no different than any other sin, in that it is a sin. A Holy God cannot look upon any sin. Jesus is the only way God the Father can look upon sinful man.
What sets sodomy apart is the CELEBRATION of that sin. The flaunting of it.
God calls us to repent of our sins. Celebrating "diversity" is the exact opposite of repentance.
There are many "gay" people who truly struggle with the sin in their life. Just the same as recovering drug addicts or alcoholics, or people addicted to porn. Repentant doesn't mean you don't struggle with the sin. But repentant doesn't mean you promote the sin either.
Even fornicators and adulterers don't brazenly flaunt their acts.
Maybe if everyone the author knows is gay they should get out more. 2% of the population ain’t gonna ever “be out there everywhere”.

I will point out that the Bible mentions two examples of towns filled with homosexuals. In Sodom, the men of the town came to rape the two angels. In the City of Benjamin, the men of the town came around to rape the male traveler.
Homosexuals cannot leave people alone. It is contrary to their illness.

Homosexuality is an inclination. Acting out on this inclination is an act.
My employer is very big into the “diversity and inclusion” mandates, because it helps them win government contracts to have documentation showing how far they’ve gone implementing it in the workplace.
One of those actions is featuring employees regularly who break stereotypes and set new norms.
There have been several men featured who “came out” and are proud to have a supportive company. One left his wife of ten years and four children. Another commented that he and his ex-wife are friends, his five grown children are supportive.
No one is allowed to say, “Clearly it was a choice, since you were able to make so many children with a woman before choosing men.”
He may not be able to control same sex attraction, just as some men have an urge to rape or commit pedophilia. But he clearly had a choice, and he had previously made the choice to live by the heterosexual norm.
Imagine if Donald Trump had had this option 30 years ago - no divorces, just adding wives.
The “orange is the new black” show, “transparent” on Amazon and others are pushing transgenderism the way homosexuality was rolled out 10-20 years ago.
Forget men marrying men, now you have the endless stories of transgendered kindergarteners and bathroom debates and “gender neutral pronouns”.
And the most isolated liberal segment - the feminists who hate men in dresses pushing every stereotype of femininity to prove they are true women, or the guy in a dress showing up to women’s only events demanding equal time or even priority because he’s more marginalized than they are.
The same as an alcoholic.
The same as a drug addict.
The same a person addicted to porn.
