Bob Wills and the Playboys were fathers of jazz and rap way before their time.
Check it out.

Note the lead guitar how it is strung and played... Hendrix before Hendrix!

There is a good version by Gil Tanner and His Skillet Lickers, recorded in March of 1934. It’s a little less sophisticated and commercial-sounding.

My favorite Bob Wills tune is MY SHOES KEEP WALKING BACK TO YOU.

My favorite Bob Wills song is
"Dusty Skies" (1941).
Dan, the singer's mount, got a workout in 1941. In "Cool Water" by the Sons of the Pioneers, he had to save his rider from death from dehydration, only to have to guide him and his herd of cattle out of the Dust Bowl in "Dusty Skies"

Pedernales beer goes better with Bob Wills’ music.

Western swing is probably my second favorite music. Second only to Western music. Especially early Sons of the Pioneers.
But the real interesting thing here is the both the lead guitar and second fiddle were played left hand.
Not many times will any of us see both a left hand guitar player and a left hand fiddle player in one band.
