I think its a case of some teachers picking the easy route, removing problem students instead of trying to educate the students. If they’re still coming to class then we should encourage them, not kick them out simply because they yelled at the teacher. I can understand if a student was stealing or committing violence, but not for all the other minor incident that was named

If a student is yelling at a teacher then the teacher can’t teach the kids that are there that want to learn. unfortunately some public schools are triage for the administrators and the teachers with the school trying to teach the kids willing to learn and get rid of the kids that are not and are impacting the other kids education.
the answer is not to keep these problem kids but to let them know that if you get in the way of the educating of the schhol well be gotten rid o.

I take it that you condone the disruption of the class and the interference with the rest of the students who may want to learn something. I may be old fashioned, but I still think people should be responsible for their actions.

How do you teach the other students if they all know they can, at any time, cuss at the teacher, text ad infinitum, etc? The best thing we could do is throw out those who don’t want to learn - and teach the rest.
