You don’t suppose that some of his control strings were being pulled by someone privy to his past personal life, do you? The would provide some plausible reason for the sudden revelation of the indiscretions of years past, and the large payments that attracted the attention of the FBI in the first place.

But maybe the FBI knew all along, and this was just a little trap lying in wait for those who were less than overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the support of the New World Order agenda.

A warning to all the rest of you RINOs out there, and a cautionary note for any potential conservative candidate for ANY office that “We got the goods on you, and we can drop them on you at any time.”

A LOT of seemingly contradictory votes and decisions, that continue to stifle and restrain free exercise of conscience, have been recorded, and continue to plague what remains of integrity in that territory once known as “the United States of America”.

And just because the “news” is old, does not, in hindsight, make it one whit less relevant. But it may help explain what is known as “Potomac Fever”, and a complete shift of “values”, once an elected or appointed official arrives in Washington.

We've been quite suspicious for some time now that those who campaign as constitutional conservatives and then traitor us as soon as they get to DC (and continue to do so) are being blackmailed. So, yeah, I think the next question is how many of the backstabbers will be outed.

Hastert must be a fool. When he first ran for office, people had a better memory of the anything goes '60s and '70s. He was past the statute of limitations. Part of his decision to run for office should've been to not hide his personal life when it came up. He probably shouldn't have accepted Speaker of the House, where part of his position was the integrity of the membership.
