Republicans now control the House & Senate-why can't we propose & pass a new immigration bill designed to change the demographics of our country back to admitting majority of Europeans and turn off the spigot that now promotes and favors poor, third world immigrants?

We should have reverted to a more balanced immigration policy under Bush when the GOP had all three branches of government.
I guess diversity isn't really our strength.
