I have just finished reading this book and the excerpt in the Post is just the introduction. I wish we had the 150 pages that were cut, because Ann goes into more depth on several very important aspects of the issue and I know there was lots of good stuff in those pages.
Something I never realized before is that the H1B workers are like indentured servants. They HAVE to suffer the low wages that make them more desirable than American workers, because if they don’t and decide to quit, they don’t get their green card. Should have been obvious to me but it wasn’t.
Some of her riffs are hilarious—except that they are so disturbing. We have noticed on FR how the media don’t tell us the whole story, notably in the identification of criminals, but she makes it funny and therefore more pointed.

I like her books and writing style, more than I like her personal appearances.
