I want to do believe in a happy ending for Ukraine but how many tens of billions have been stolen by oligarchs. And why would that change. Heck we can’t even get that to change here and we have had hundreds of years of experience with democracy

Yeah, most of them are decent Christian folks but the leaders are mostly like ours and are deceiving crooks.

At least, from what I have seen of the Ukies, they fight much better than the Iraqis do against isis.

It did change in plenty of countries like for example in Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Baltic countries. 20 years ago Poland and Ukraine were both in a very sorry state. Now Poland has developed and Ukraine has not. At least all the positive examples show that breaking free from the Soviet model is possible.
