In order to put ‘the government’ into the proper perspective, you have to remember that ‘the government’ is nothing more than your next door neighbor, or some guy who lives on the next block. ‘The government’ is simply people who went into that line of work, rather than some other job. They could have been accountants, bus drivers, retail clerks. ‘The government’ was a career choice, not a blessing of authority, or morality, or right.
So when you hear of government abuse, don’t think ‘the government’ is to blame.
Understand that ‘some guy on the next street’ is snooping in your personal data.
Because that’s what this is really about.
