We sat in our seats,
Waited everyday
For the bell to ring
and the teacher to say:
It is summer!
No more school!
2 months with friends
And the pool!
No matter what
We’ll have fun
No more studying,
Just a day in the sun…
But no more picnics
On the grass
Just boring, old
Regular class
Summer ended
Yesterday
Oh well, Christmas is
Just weeks away!
