NASCAR appears to be backing off on their Confederate flag ban to some extent.
They’re now saying it won’t be immediate but they will offer American flags for trading with Confederate flags.

Race Fans! We are off to a race in Florida, and the controversy about that evil flag still rages. I heard on the radio last night that there was a major protest of sorts going on with people showing up with their RVs and confederate flags, but, I can't find anything on social media (everything I am finding is stock photos from previous years). If you have a pic share it.
Next, Nascar moves over to NBC, who has also stirred up their own controversy by acting like they dumped the Donald. Oh, what is a person to do?

Does anyonew know why the race is on Sunday night rather than Saturday. I know Sat is the 4th, but it would seem to better play on Sat night. Has this happened before when the 4th landed on Sat.?
I actually prefer Sat, especially since it is on a non network channel and I have to go to the bar to watch.

Since the CSA flag dust up I will not watch any NASCAR races until the change their position. It’s part of their history damn it.

I never was into NASCAR and never have really watched a race.
I do believe though that they have done a number of things to alienate their Fan Base. The Flag controversy is just the latest.
Personally I grew on movies like “Grand Prix” and “Le Mans”, and while I am not a big fan and I find that racing of a little more interest.
