You would donate to Democrats if you lived in NYC too. It’s called greasing the skids. He likely bought off some unions too.

,,,,, so what you’re saying he’s just like Hillary ,,, greasing the skids of liberals who will want and expect favors in the future . OK ,,,, I get it Now ,,,, cronyism . I hope I’m wrong about Trump but today my money is on Cruz who doesn’t seem to be talking so much out of both sides of his mouth . Alan Dershewitz says he’s the best law student in the game today and Cruz agrees with Trump on some of his immigration positions as do I . Trump is too much of a show boater and I don’t think he will do well with the current congress considering his ego mania and lack of humility .

Lots of Perot haters around here.

Probably because of Perot being pro-abortion and anti-gun, and his desire to put Clinton in the White House.

No, I would not support the national democrat party, or support democrats locally, or be a gun banner or pro-abortion, or join the democrat party in 2001, and stay there through 2009, and today, call Bill Clinton my favorite president.

Trump left the GOP and joined the democrat party during the time of Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and Harry Reid.

Fine, don’t vote for him. No matter if you love or hate him he has changed the entire dialogue of this country.

Funny how FR has complained about Repubs never fighting back and as soon as one does they give him a purity test to destroy him.

Sounds a lot like the same cowards who trashed Palin’s intelligence, recklessness, slutty looks... who enjoy complaining.

Far more likely that Perot would have upset the apple cart. Gun control would have been low on his list (if on it at all). But you are right that Perot was pro-abortion including federal funded abortions.

Wow, you read post 26, and just blow it off. Trump, a pro-abortion democrat, gun banner, who thinks that Bill Clinton is the best of modern presidents and who joined the party run by Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and Harry Reid, as they were at their peak of party control.

You blow it all off and compare him to Governor Palin, a true lifelong conservative republican, and leader of the conservative movement.

You are more than a coward, you are flat out irrational and nonsensical.

Yes, Perot was strongly pro-abortion, in fact the Perots are award winning fund raisers for abortion, and wanted to kick in Texas doors to confiscate guns.

But the nuts don’t care about such things.

Did he give money to all of them? He hammered Kerry pretty good. Certainly you agree with him about the border, don’t you?

they give him a purity test

A "purity test" is when we start in on a candidate who has been a solid conservative all his life and go all hyperbolic about one or two comments he's made, or one plank in a platform from fifteen years ago. This has already happened here to Cruz, Walker, Jindal, and Perry.

It's not a "purity test" to point out the facts when a candidate who's been a big government, gun controller, pro abortion, serial husband, crony capitalist, eminent domain, Democrat ally all his life, suddenly decides out of the blue that "Hey!! I'm a Conservative!!"

We have a lot of low information Freepers here who will buy anything, absolutely anything, as long as it comes with a "Kick Out The Mexicans!!" label attached.

A lot more of them than I could have imagined. It's not encouraging.

Remember that Reagan started out as a New Deal Democrat. If you are not willing to fairly consider that people can move to the Right--that those who have erred in the past can come over to our side;--you have conceded the battle, out-right, to those who engineered the political alignment that elected Obama. An alignment, moreover, likely to be considerably strengthened by the increase in eligible voters from a third world background, since 2008.

As it is really too early for most of us to commit to any candidate; it is certainly too early for anyone to write off Donald Trump, who has the particular advantage in having the personal resources to not have to depend on the professional fund raisers in Washington.

He left the GOP, and joined their party, and donated to them and supported them as a fellow democrat.

It doesn’t take much for a hustler to win you over does it, even when they tell you that Bill Clinton is their favorite president, you fall at their feet.

Reagan spent 20+ years earning his conservative reputation before he asked any of us to elect him President.

I agree with what Trump is saying about the border.

But talk is cheap, and few have done as much in contemporary America to demonstrate that adage as has combover boy.

Sorry I don’t fall at anyone’s feet and am not a Republican so I don’t have a horse in this race. I do appreciate that someone will take on the establishment on both sides and upset the apple cart.

This is exactly why nobody speaks up since they know if they do they will be on their own when it comes to conservative support. Most conservatives are cowards and will find any excuse to go hide. Let the establishment trash away cause he is not one of us. And then wonder why nobody speaks up?

You are the one on the side of the Dems, ESPN, CNN and Macy’s on this issue. Where is your candidate on the border issue? Siding with Hillary?

I won’t be supporting a pro-abortion, gun banner liberal, like you are.

It takes a gullible sucker to fall for a Bill Clinton loving huckster who only left Obama’s party in 2009, unless that person is a liberal of course.

“Donald Trump recalls with chagrin that he supported Barack Obama for president in 2008, but says he now realizes that those moving hope-and-change speeches were nothing more than rhetoric.

Donald Trump, Obama, Hannity”I was his biggest cheerleader,” the multibillionaire businessman told Sean Hannity on his Fox TV show Tuesday night. “If you go back three years, I’m saying, ‘Do a great job.’ I wanted him to do a great job. I still want him to do a great job.”

When has Trump not done what he says. Apparently the only one who agrees with me is Cruz. One of those will get the nomination because of this stand.

How does it feel to agree with the establishmedia and Hillary on the border issue?

Yawn, namecalling is the best you got?

You are supporting the Democrat Party which is for abortion, banning guns, Marxism and homosexual marriage. Yeah, you are on the right side of this issue.

I am solidly in agreement with Trump and Cruz on this. You are simply making sure nobody supports him and they will get Palined if they do.
