With Ferrari's upcoming IPO in October, fans of the prancing horse will finally be able to own a piece of the Italian automaker without forking over hundreds of thousands of dollars.
But for many, there's no substitute to the raw power and emotion of a living, breathing Ferrari. Since the company launched its road car business in 1947, it's reputation has grown from that of a respected racing team to a creator of automotive legends.
In fact, the company has managed to maintain a waiting list for many of its models without engaging in any forms of traditional advertising.
Other the years, Ferrari has been responsible for a long line of fast, powerful, and evocative sports cars and supercars. Anyone who has ever encountered a Ferrari has his or her personal favorite. Which is why Business Insider compiled a list of the 10 best Ferraris in the world.

My Fav.
Had an Aurora Thunderjet 500 slot car of one when I was a kid. That is as close as I’ll ever get. LOL
No 250 SWB. No 250 GTO. No 500 Superfast. No 250GT Lusso. No 275 GTB/4. No NART Spider. No 166 Barchetta. No 250 LM.
Silly list.
Smart then - smart now!
I have seen many 250 GTOs racing at the historic and vintage races at Sebring. Very nice styling and performance.
Had a chance to drive a Dino something like 40 years ago. Unforgettable experience. Car drove like it was glued to the road, but tap the accelerator and you were gone, gone gone. Nothing else has felt like that then or since.
Fiat-Chrysler is selling Ferrari to raise money to keep F-C afloat while it tries to sell itself to Honda.
Ferrari insiders claim that Ferrari will never go downscale, selling a cheapened version for a larger market. Maserati does fill that niche now though, and it will become Fiat’s halo brand.
The styling of the 308 GT was really nice.
I really like the styling of the 246 GTS Dino! They did not include any race cars like the 330 P4 or the more recent 333 SP.
Yet, somehow they could find room for the 308. There is nothing outstanding about this car other than Tom Selleck drove one on Magnum PI. For the same money, a person could buy and build up a Corvette which would run circles around the 308.
Umm...note to the author, the car on Miami Vice was a Daytona Spyder, not a Tessa Rosa. IIRC, it was actually a kit car replica built on a Corvette. Too expensive to abuse the real thing.
The “Daytona” was replaced by a Testarossa in the second season IIRC. Ironically, the stock engine was replaced by a Chevy V8, presumably for ease of maintenance.
You bet! That’s why it’s listed as Greatest Top 10!
Thank God they had the 250 TR, but where is the 250 GTO?
