A new island coming?

Yes, it is a new island coming, but since it is still around 900 feet below the surface, it will be a while. It is at the southern end in the chain along the eastern edge of the Caribbean Plate that includes Martinique with Mt. Pelee, St. Vincent with La Soufriere, and other active and sometimes troublesome volcanoes. See link below for detailed reporting by National Geographic on early disasters and activity.
