Well sure. He’ll pick up a lot of the Trump voters when trump eventually drops out.

“as citizens begin to know more about him”...Well, for one, he is a Harvard Educated Attorney. Secondly, his wife is an Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Lastly, he is supported by trial lawyers. Enough said!
To: conservativejoy
He’s the brightest up there.

He is by far the brightest. Trump is also very smart. Some of the others are not so bright and we need to make sure we don’t get stuck with them.

But I’ve never seen him flip flop and always gives a straight answer.
If trump divides the vote and gets us Hitlary I’ll kill him.

Cruz has been saying much of what Trump has been saying.
The difference is that Trump has a much bigger Megaphone.

The difference is that Trump has a much bigger Megaphone. Yep... Trump has a billion dollar megaphone. And the thing Trump has that most of the others don't have .... is the name recognition. We who follow politics and study the various candidates forget the MEGA impact that name recognition has. When I was 18 my father was a local elected politician for several years. I learned then that there is no substitute for name recognition. A large number of people walk into a voting poll and often just vote for the name they have heard before, or recognize.

Alan Dershowitz said he was a brilliant student
He was also national debating champion

I didn’t realize I had a “fan club”. I don’t “HATE” him or for that fact any Republican candidate. I just think that his credentials make me suspect that he will be partial towards trial lawyers and Wall Street like a lot of politicians. I would prefer someone like Scott Walker who has taken on the Public Sector Unions and the Democrat Macji9ne in a Blue State and won every time. Cruz can compete with that kind of proven record. Of course I would vote for him if he were the party nominee against any Democrat, but I just think we can do better than another trial lawyer.
To: Old Retired Army Guy
Meant to type “machine” instead of what my fingers typed. Also meant to say Cruz “CAN’T” compete with the kind of record Walker has of actually accomplishing things.
To: Old Retired Army Guy
Then promote your guy. Tell me why I should vote for Walker. Stop the ripping down of other candidates. It isn’t helpful. This is why we end up with tattered and destroyed nominees, because no one is pure enough to satisfy anyone.
Promote Walker. That’s all.

Our Standard: The Constitution
Ted Cruz has spent a lifetime fighting to defend the Constitution our nations founding document and the supreme law of the land which was crafted by our founding fathers to act as chains to bind the mischief of government and to protect the liberties endowed to us by our Creator.
Religious Liberty
Second Amendment
- Played a crucial role in preventing federal legislation to restrict the Second Amendment rights of Americans.
- Authored legislation to strengthen the Second Amendment rights of Americans by allowing interstate firearms sales.
- Led 31 states in District of Columbia v. Heller where the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a ban on firearms in a 5-4 landmark decision.
- Argued against unreasonable and burdensome gun restrictions before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
- Recognized by NRA executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre who observed, “Ted Cruz is one of our nation’s leading defenders of the Second Amendment. For over a decade, Ted has fought tirelessly to defend our constitutional right to keep and bear arms, and his leadership was absolutely critical to our major victories before the U.S. Supreme Court.”
U.S. Sovereignty
- Fought and won a landmark ruling for U.S. sovereignty in Medellin v. Texas at the U.S. Supreme Court against 90 foreign nations and the President to ensure the supremacy of U.S. legal system against encroachment by international treaties and rulings of the World Court.
- Cosponsored a resolution urging the president not to sign the UN Arms Treaty, which would have subordinated the Second Amendments rights of American citizens to global interests.
