Shame must exist there. In this country, the shoplifter would probably file a multi-million dollar lawsuit for emotional distress. And get a hefty settlement check.
That is exactly right. Shame. I would bet my bottom dollar that is the first time in her entire life that she knew what shame felt like. We have lost the virtue of shame in our society.
