Carry a printed copy of the statute in question. Hand it to any investigating officer. Remind him or her that if they make an arrest after being informed of the law they lose their indemnity and can be prosecuted criminally and sued civilly.

Imo the only way cops will be kept in check is if they are personally accountable.
