Trump narrows gap on Clinton

Real estate mogul Donald Trump is growing increasingly competitive in a general election contest against Hillary Clinton, trailing the Democratic frontrunner by six points in a poll that shows the race tightening.

Mr Trump leads the broad Republican field by double digits. The political neophyte has dominated media coverage since he launched his campaign in June, steadily narrowing the gap against Ms Clinton, according to a CNN/ORC poll which has tracked such matchups for months.

Ms Clinton now leads Mr Trump by 51 per cent to 45 per cent, a dramatically more competitive race than July's 56-40 spread and June's 59-35, Wednesday's poll results showed.

The poll also has her ahead of conservative Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker by the same margin, while she leads former Florida governor Jeb Bush by nine points and Hewlett-Packard former chief executive Carly Fiorina by 10 points.

The results show billionaire Mr Trump is not just resilient in the early stages of the race - he is improving his standing despite constant controversy.

I am not a trump supporter, but I am also not against him. I will support any republican candidate i.e. Cruz, Trump, Carly, Carson who are willing to destroy the GOPe. My ardent hope is that Carl Rove is homeless and persona non grata and all of his ilk are gone from the public stage forever!

Anyone know why Dennis Prager is so against Trump? He just said “don’t fall into the trap” of supporting him if you are a conservative. I guess he’s another GOPe lover? I don’t know much about Prager.

Trump has Hillary in his sights - his latest post of a video of her with all her “What difference does it make” or “It doesn’t matter” comments hits home. I have a hard-core Leftist acquaintance who has soured on Hillary even though a few months ago he was crowing that she would inherit the WH when Obama left. he recently said he would vote for Trump if it came down to him or her....

Dennis Prager?

Who?

(Just kidding you. Sort of)

My guess is he’s a Bush-bot.

That is why Trump is so potentially huge for the GOP.

A (LOT) of people like very much, what Trump is saying about bringing back American jobs.

Millions and millions of Americans. I cannot over-state how many. For an entire generation, everyone has sold out AMERICA.

America.

Now. 25 years later, we have slipped to number two in the world (from the undisputed champions position just one generation ago), 94 million Americans no longer even have a job, we as a nation are now 19 TRILLION DOLLARS in debt, and nobody except Trump is so much as batting an eyelash.

THAT is why Trump is doing so well.

Because so many, are selling out what is so very important, right here in America.

He is going to win a (lot) of Democrats as well. A huge amount.

It will be a landslide, in my opinion.

This is not something celebrate. That is still a huge lead for Clinton given her swarms of trouble. Earlier polls showed many of the lesser known Republican contenders winning against Clinton by comfortable margins.

Relax.

Trump is gaining. Hillary is falling. And there are investigators now going through her emails.

I think someone else will run on the left. Trump also seems to think so. There is a long long time still in this race.

Trump is however, contunuing to climb.

Topsy-turvy, isn’t it? That we replace several winning candidates with a losing candidate?

Here’s another headline for a similar story:

Six points.

LoL. Carter had enormous leads liker 32% and more over Reagan in 1980 with much less time to the election.

This is nothing but a pittance. Dingbat Clinton is going to get crushed in the election.

I think at this time, Trump is saying all of the right things, all of the things Americans want to hear. But haven’t all heard these same things before.

If he could really show a plan how he would bring back all of these jobs and Americans believed him, then I think he could actually win.

This Carter comparison is hogwash. When his failed mission- Operation Eagle Claw- to rescue the hostages went down in flames, his numbers tanked.

Some our prime contenders that had a 4-6 point lead over Clinton is now reversed with Trump six points behind. And so we are supposed to celebrate this?

BS it’s not. Trump is way ahead of Reagan at this point.

Trump moves the gauge needle to the right faster than anyone I’ve seen.

Carter was a sitting President. Many observers have stated that had Carter’s mission succeeded, we may not have had a Reagan. Most importantly, any comparison to Reagan is nonsense since the electorate has now significantly and demographically changed that even if Reagan were to run today he may lose. There was an article about a year ago, that National Review columnist Mona Charen wrote that gave a breakdown of today’s demographic and voting patterns and showed Reagan would have lost in today’s climate.

6 % with 15 months to go is a huge lead?
Since when?
Especially when back in July, Hilary was leading 56-40(16 points) and in June, by 59-35(24 points). Trump has taken out a massive 18 points from Hillary's lead in just 2 months. If the trend continues, Hilary is chopped suey.

Earlier polls showed many of the lesser known Republican contenders winning against Clinton by comfortable margins.

Ummmm......No.
