Not allowing those 18 years of age and older to drink beer or wine is just ridiculous.

I think France and Belgium are 15 or 16. But you can’t drive until 18.

While in the Navy, I was stationed in Italy (Sardinia) in ‘85-86. No drinking age laws then. Public drunkenness was looked down upon. I remember seeing a young teen (13 or 14) on a moped stop have an 8 oz glass of beer then take off. It’s our culture it was 21 then the age did go down to 18 now it’s back up to 21. My thoughts are if you are old enough to serve in the armed forces then you are old enough to drink. If the establishment wants 21 then that should be the age to enter the service! That might not be a bad idea, the youth would have to work (learn a trade or discipline) or go to school!

Congratulations. Yours is the absolute dumbest statement of the day on the entire interwebz. Lemme guess. You're all for legalizing pot, vending machine narcotics, open borders, etc?

Why do you people insist on posting on FR? Don't you have your own venue? www.Stoners.org or something?

I’d say 18 for drinking and 30 for voting would fix a lot of problems. :)
