I'm afraid of heights and was at the tower in the late '80s. My two teenage sons finally talked me into going up and even the elevator ride made me dizzy.
Once onto the observation deck I wasn't too too bad until my kids told me to look down. Yikes! I thought I was going to pass out.

Dombrowski convinced Ilitch he could repeat what he did with the Florida Marlins(short-term big spending for quick, big reward, then dump), instead, he spends a billion bucks, gets no ring, and leaves the Tigers in a Phillies-type financial fix.

Still, can't dump it all on him or Ausmus(though they did their share)... when players simply don't do their job(VMart, Sanchez, others).
