What would happen if all the leading superheroes and supervillains were combined into one movie scene? You’d get this brilliant nine-minute mashup. It really is worth nine minutes of your time to take in this inspired piece of film editing:

No dogs or cats. But, save the world by singing and dancing? Ok if you like the music.

I was very skeptical before clicking link, but glad I did. So clean, nearly perfect editing. I would have only cut one mask, and one neo inserts. Everything else was perfect flow, with wonderful eyelines and reaction shots. This just shows how far digital editing has come. We’ve almost reached that age where you just can’t trust your own eyes to perceive real vs fake.

Actors can now be scanned and inserted into newly created scenes for past and future productions, either to salvage a disaster production, fix an ending, or offer expanded rereleases. Hell, they may start making complete movies using this tech. It would almost be like assembling an animated movie, just having actors phone in voice over work from where ever they’re located at the moment.
