If police can’t issue a citation without witnessing a transgression then how do they stop people for speeding when using aircraft?

Actually, most people don’t know this but if you are issued a traffic citation because of an aircraft traffic patrol, all you have to do is show up in court and demand to be faced with the accuser who witnessed you and signed the citation.

Since the pilot of the aircraft is not the one who wrote the citation, they cannot produce an officer who witnessed the alleged traffic infraction and the case must be dismissed.
