I remember when Jim Henson had some muppets on Saturday Night Live, I think they were only on the first 1st season, but that was a funny bit.

Do they have appearances by Evil Bert?

I used to work with a guy that was stationed in Germany during the early 80s. As a translator he spoke German but more important could imitate all kinds of cartoon characters. About that time, Germany imported the Muppets and advertised for someone to do the voice of Kermit in German. George tried out for the part and was selected for the first season.

Years later when I met him he used to do the voice of Kermit (in German) all the time at work - it was hilarious.

Thanks! Hubby didn’t really know which movie I was talking about, but he did remember him winning the Oscar.

The original Muppet Show was a multi-level affair - the kids were entertained in a family friendly way while the adults watched for the zany anarchy and the occasional subtle innuendo. I loved it myself - the 2 old guys in the balcony were my favorites. Suspect the reboot will be as subtly PC as a teachers union meeting.
