Dances with Wolves Score is really good, though.

lol...I was thinking there was someone out there that would be interested by that. If it had a good narration and some pretty music in the background, I could be interested for 5 minutes or so. :)

Agree on golfing...not that I know much about it.

Hmmm. That’s interesting. Many people like the original version of the movie, too. I only tried watching the extended version. Big mistake.

Saw a Kens Burns documentary come up on Documentaries on NetFlix a week or so ago. Passed it over. The one on Hiroshima on NF is really interesting, though.

I did like the movie, too. Saw it a long, long time ago. Not the extended version, though.

This is the main theme from the movie...with bagpipes. Too gorgeous for words. Makes me cry.

In many ways, boredom is a modern luxury.

Saw a WWII documentary. One guy said he was pretty bored for most of any given mission - as P-51 pilot escorting bombers.

Long to an fro, sitting in a cold aluminum shell with the engine noise droning, and not much to do for hours on end.

Of course, there were moments that demanded concentration and attention to detail...

Here’s one chosen at random: “Texas Farm Ponds: Stocking, Assessment, and Management Recommendations”

I was listening to Dennis Prager one time. He said that any subject can be interesting if the person speaking/talking about it has a passion for it. :)

Just don’t get me started on the science and practice of irrigation with sodic-saline water, unless you want to stay up all night. :-)

lol! Funny. I napped heavily earlier. I think I’m gonna be up for a bit. :) Can you put it in simple terms and not do it in an Al Gore voice?

I’ve always told my kids that if they tell me they’re bored I’ll find some work for them to do.

For some reason after that I never hear how bored they are any more.

Hard to imagine getting bored flying a P 51, even doing bomber escort. I would be anticipating the potential upcoming dogfights, plus the flak etc.

He or she wants to be stimulated, but is unable, for whatever reason, to connect with his or her environment — a state Eastwood describes as an "unengaged mind"

'Go ahead, make my daydream.'

Liberals are boring.

All collectivists are boring, because they don’t think for themselves.

"In a nutshell, it boiled down to boredom being the unfulfilled desire for satisfying activity," he says.

How much did the study cost that reached that remarkable conclusion? You could get that much from a dictionary.

I can’t remember the last time I was bored. There’s too much to do.

*******************************************************************

My wife’s been in the hospital and now “in patient” physical rehabilitation for the past two weeks, with three more weeks to go. Those are extremely boring places (for both of us). I’m down to about twelve hours per day visiting.

I get up around 6:00 A.M., see the kids off to school, go to the nursing home, where the rehab is, come home around 3:00 P.M., see that the kids eat or bring them with me and we have dinner with my wife.

Pretty decent food at rehab and only $5 per person for visitors. Better than my cooking, for sure. Take the kids home, go back to sit with wife, go home around 9:00 P.M.
