The White House asked the crowdfunding giant to help make up the $4 billion that Syrian refugees still need this year.

More than four million Syrians have been forced to flee their homes since the start of the country’s civil war began in 2011. The length of the war, along with the number of other humanitarian crises around the world, has seen funding for the crisis plummet. The United Nations asked for $7.42 billion this year to cover the needs of the Syrians both still inside Syria and those who have escaped to neighboring countries. As of early October, they were still $4 billion short of their annual goal. The United States has donated $4.5 billion in humanitarian aid since the crisis began, but has been criticized recently for the relatively small number of refugees it has agreed to resettle. Two weeks ago, White House Director of Product Josh Miller reached out to Kickstarter to ask the company what it thought about helping to tackle the crisis. “We immediately said yes,” Kickstarter CEO Yancey Strickler told BuzzFeed News.

One of Kickstarters own rules is, no social causes. I guess some social causes are more equaler than others

Kickstarter
Kickstarter Hi Frank Fileccia — Kickstarter’s focus is still squarely on creative projects, and that’s not changing. Our rules and guidelines are still the same. We’re just taking this opportunity to contribute our efforts and, with your help, work to relieve a major, ongoing crisis.

They are also asking for marketing and public relations VOLUNTEERS through Volunteer Match on Linked In. I think they’re called “Welcome to America” or some BS like that. So not only are they welcoming in this hoard of enemy combatants, they are asking people to volunteer to help them do it WITHOUT PAY. Refugee program, my butt...it’s Muslim Infiltration, that’s what it really is. Look for the Red Cross vehicles to start showing up in your neighborhoods and you’ll know where they are. I’ve had them in mine.

Kickstarter has never allowed charities until the White House called - it makes me beyond sick.

The comments on Facebook are worth taking a look.

Send them to Saudi Arabia, to be cared for by Muslims. Let’s crowdfund for 200 churches there while we’re at it. /s
