Chromebooks do 90% of what the average computer user needs and the latest 14 and 15 inch and 16 inch are in the $300 to $500 range. Byes, but you bought a Chromebook.
A fool and his money are soon parted, indeed.

You are a silly brainless elitist. At least be an elitist for something worthwhile. Too silly to understand that for 90% of computer buyers they will be perfectly pleased with a 13.3" to 15.6" chromebook that costs 20-25% what an Apple laptop goes for.
When we have the next recession-depression Apple sales will crater along with its stock price. Only reason Apple is riding high is the Federale Reserve and other central banks flooding the planet with phony fiat money. When this gives way so will our stock market, real estate market and sales of absurdly priced Apple products. iphone and ipad sales will evaporate as android sales of fones and tablets take over as they should.
Mac news daily site will disappear. This is where swordmaker gets the appleßot propaganda he posts
Amazon prices-
- 13.3" chromebook is $342.99 ----- newest version of chromebook and top of the line
- Macbook 13.3" $1,177.97 ---newest model

So a 13.3" chromebook is 30% the price of the MacBook. And for 90% of computer users this is all they need
For 15.6" laptops at Amazon the chromebook is 21.7% the price of the macbook
- $2,300.00 for macbook pro at Amazon
- -
- $499.99- Acer Chromebook 15 CB5-571-58HF (15.6-Inch Full HD, Intel Core i5, 4GB, 32GB SSD)
Now who is the fool! Look in the mirror for your answer.
