I heard somebody say you could have a confiscatory tax rate of 100% on all income over $1 million, and you still wouldn’t have nearly enough money to pay for all these freebies proposed by the Democrats.
So even if they could change the tax code tomorrow to confiscate all that money, they still would fall far short of having enough.
I sure hope whoever the GOP nominee is will drive this point home when we get to the general election campaign.
And drive home the point that “free” college or “free” anything provided by government still has to be paid for by someone through tax money. And that the tax money comes from all of us who pay taxes.

That is the job of the Federal Reserve printing press. They can talk about deflation, disinflation but eventually the paper and digital blizzard will have to be unleashed--- or open default.

There could be a 10% wealth tax on all who have net worths of over $1 mil or over $1 thou and it might pay for it all one year but it could only be done once, and the expense continues year after year.
