Attack page?

I mostly browse FreeRepublic on my phone, opening several links at a time as I scroll down the page. I just had 4 pages with this warning. When I clicked on the bottom to ignore the warning, it says that FreeRepublic is a known phishing scam. Looks like someone is spreading a few untruths about us.

Doesn’t happen with Internet Explorer ... but nothing ever happens with Internet Explorer when it comes to malware ;-)!

You’ll have to track it back to the database used by Firefox (and apparently Chrome) to determine if a URL is safe.

Looks like someone managed to get it put into the database.

I did some digging: Firefox (and presumably Chrome) are using a Google database.

Here's how to get it removed:

I’ve confirmed that my site is safe, how do I get it removed from the lists?

One of my former employer’s IT departments first had FR as an extremist site. Then they changed it to WAR
NING! Political Activist Site.

Appears to be an AdWare attack from “ www.stopbadware.org “

I’d better run a good virus scan.
